Prohibited Items for Storage
- Food or Perishable Goods: Must not be stored unless securely packed in hard plastic or glass containers to prevent and not attract vermin.
- Living Creatures: Including plants, birds, fish, animals, or any other creatures.
- Combustible or Flammable Materials: Such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents.
- Explosives and Firearms: Including weapons, ammunition, fireworks, or any components thereof.
- Chemicals and Hazardous Materials: Radioactive materials, biological agents, pollutants, toxic or hazardous materials, or contaminated goods.
- Items Emitting Fumes or Odours: Any item that emits any fumes, smell, or odour.
- Illegal Substances and Goods: Including counterfeit goods, illicit tobacco or alcohol, unlicensed medicines, unsafe goods (toys, electrical items, cosmetics, fireworks).
- Compressed Gases: Any compressed gases, flammable or non-flammable, without written consent.
- High-Value Items Requiring Specialist Storage: Such as currency, jewellery, bullion, furs, deeds, bonds, securities, works of art, antiques, fine wines, and items of personal sentimental value.
- Lithium Ion Batteries and Portable Power Sources: Batteries exceeding a watt-hour (Wh) rating of 160 Wh, unless built-in and non-removable, and restrictions on portable battery chargers or power banks.
- E-Vehicles and Devices with Batteries: Limitations on the number of e-scooters, e-bikes, e-skateboards, or similar, and restrictions on devices like laptops and tablets containing built-in batteries.
- Waste Materials: Including materials deemed to be waste, such as used electrical equipment (unless tested and certified for re-use), used vehicles, or parts thereof.
We cooperate fully with the Police and HM Customs to ensure compliance with these restrictions, ensuring the safety and security of our storage facility and its users.
